Uttoxeter Festival of Running FAQs

When can I register?

Registration is open from 1 December 2025. Registrations are made online by visiting https://www.entryhub.co.uk/uttoxeter-festival-of-running-2026.

Can I register on the day?

No. Registrations for the Junior Race, 10k and Half Marathon close in advance via the entry hub website.

Can I transfer my entry?

If you would like to transfer your entry, please contact www.frsystems.co.uk/contactus/ before race day.

Will there be road closures?

Our marshals will be temporarily closing roads to allow our runners to safely pass at certain points.

Can I play music?

As runners will be running on open main roads with fast moving traffic and single-track rural roads with poor visibility, no headphones or bone conducting devices are permitted while running in any of the races. This is to comply with the health and safety risk assessment. If any runners are spotted with headphones or bone conducting devices, they will be disqualified.

Is there a Junior 2k?

Yes! There will be a junior race in 2026. Age categories will be 4-10 and 11-15. This race will start at 9am.

Why haven’t I received confirmation or my Race Number?

You will have received a confirmation when you first entered the race, you will receive no more communications from FR Systems.

Race numbers and T-shirts are collected on the day from the registration desk at Race HQ from 8:00 am (signposted from the Uttoxeter Racecourse car park).

What time does the registration desk open?

The desk will be open from 08.00am on Sunday 19/4/2026.

When does it start?

9.00am – Junior 2k run starts

10.00am – 10k and Half Marathon starts

Where is the start and finish?

Uttoxeter Racecourse, Wood Lane, Uttoxeter ST14 8BD

How do I get there?

By Road

From the North West – M6 to Junction 15, then follow signs for A50 Uttoxeter/Derby

From the North East – M1 to Junction 24a, straight onto the A50 following signs for Uttoxeter/Derby.

From the South and South West – From M5(J4a) or M40 (J3a), join the M42 (J7). Exit M42 at Junction 9 (Lichfield) follow signs for Lichfield and A38 (Burton/Derby). Exit A38 at A50 (Uttoxeter/Stoke). Alternatively; From M5 (J8) or M42 (J7), join M6 (North). Exit at Junction 14 and take A513 to Stafford, then A518 (Uttoxeter).

From the South East – M1 To Junction 23a, the A50 (Uttoxeter/Stoke). Once in Uttoxeter follow the brown signs to Wood Lane and take the second turning on the left signed to Main Entrance and Conference Centre.

By Rail

Uttoxeter Railway station is adjacent to the Racecourse. Most Intercity services run trains to Derby and Stoke on Trent which in turn runs regular connecting trains to Uttoxeter.

Where can I park?

There is free on-site parking at the Uttoxeter Racecourse.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are allowed on the Racecourse site (they must be kept on a lead at all times). You are not allowed to run with your dog.

Where can I leave my bag?

One of our local charities, YESS, will be operating a bag drop on the day. This is free of charge, but there is a suggested donation of £2 which goes directly to the charity.

Age Restrictions?

10k – 16 and over.

Half marathon – 18 and over.

Will food be available?

There will be light refreshments available on the Racecourse concourse.

Will water be available?

There will be water stations located throughout the course. Water will also be available at the finish.

Will toilets be available?

Toilets will be available on the racecourse concourse.

Will photos be available?

Bryan Dale Photography will be taking photos of our runners at the day, which will be available to download from http://www.racephotos.org.uk/ . The Uttoxeter Road Runner team will also be taking photos for marketing purposes. If you do not wish for your photo to be used, please advise when you collect your race pack.

Will any of my entry fee go to charity?

Yes! 50% of the profits will go to local charities, 1st Uttoxeter Scouts, Girlguiding Uttoxeter Division and wellbeing charity Yess. Home – Your Emotional Support Services (yess.uk).

Can I sponsor the event?

We are incredibly grateful to our longstanding sponsors, but are always interested in hearing from individuals or businesses who may be interested in discussing sponsorship opportunities with us in the future. Please get in touch via racedirector@uttoxeterroadrunners.club 

Can I run with a buggy?

Runners are not allowed to run with buggies as the road conditions are not suitable.

What is the time limit for each race?

The time limits are different for each race: 3 hours for the Half Marathon and 1.5 hours for the 10k. After this point, the marshals will stand down so any runners will continue at their own risk.

Can I change the race distance?

If you would like to change your race distance your entry, please contact www.frsystems.co.uk/contactus/ before race day.
